Ir Sir Gordon Wu is Chairman of the Board of Hopewell Holdings Limited and Chairman of Hopewell Highway Infrastructure Limited. He is one of the founders of Hopewell Holdings and was its Managing Director from 1972 to December 2001. Sir Gordon has a wide range of experience in property planning, construction and development. He was involved in the design and construction of numerous buildings and development projects in China and overseas, including the 66-storey Hopewell Centre in Hong Kong, the 1,200-room China Hotel in Guangzhou, the Guangzhou- Shenzhen-Zhuhai Superhighway and the Shajiao B power plant. The last project set a record of completion within 22 months and received the British Construction Industry Award. Sir Gordon is very active in public and community services as well as professional activities.
